Lisa & Brandon’s Wedding

Lisa & Brandon were married at the Historic Springfield Banquet Center in Fullerton. I love the excitment in so many of the getting ready shots- Lisa was absolutely radiant! And, there were so many cute kids at this wedding - the flowergirls were so adorable! I hope you guy are having an amazing time in Hawaii! Here are a few of my favs…

One of the flowergirls looks on as Lisa gets ready….

Lisa’s dad, right before the ceremony..

I absolutely loved the ring bearer’s expression in this one-he looks so proud…

Michele & Jill’s Engagement

Last week I had the pleasure of shooting Michele and Jill’s engagement session…along with their 3 pups, Murphy, Milo, & Maddie! We headed down to one of my favorite spots and had a blast. I’m bummed I won’t be able to shoot their wedding next year, but so glad they commissioned me to do their engagements! Here’s just a few of my favorites…

Santiago Fire Update!

I just wanted to thank all of you who e-mailed me to see if Isaac and I were OK! The fire in Foothill Ranch is still burning, but besides the poor air quality and constant downpour of ash and smoke, at least our house is no longer in danger! The fire is up in the foothills above our house. On Monday night, I took some pics of the adjacent neighborhood….people frantically soaking their roofs and lawns…

The fire rapidly spreading up the hillside towards a row of houses..

trees ablaze!

So, this morning I looked out my window….

and saw that the fire that was over the hills by the 241fwy had advanced during the night closer to our house! Around 12pm, they had Foothill Ranch on voluntary evacuation, so we frantically packed all our important belongings and waited to see what the fire would do. It actually came up to the back of our housing track. This picture here is when it was the closest. Pretty Freaky!

Fire engines screamed down the street to stop the houses bordering the hillside from catching fire, and helicopters were dropping water and fire retardant non-stop all day long. By the late afternoon, the fire had moved South along the hillside into Whiting Ranch Park above us, and as of now, our house is out of harms way. The fire is still going strong in Foothill Ranch….
We went to the foothills right in back of our house to see the damage, and I snapped a few shots of what was left of an organic avocado field….
