Hilda & Roger are too cute together! We met at one of my favorite spots, and were blessed with some gorgeous light and absolutely perfect weather. It was such a great way to spend my afternoon with such a wonderful couple!

Isaac and I have been wanting to start composting for a while, but living in a small house, with relatively no backyard kept us from starting…that is until we discovered vermiculture (composting with redworms). They turn biodegradable kitchen scraps into super nutrient rich fertilizer, and they live in their own composting bin in our garage. There’s no smell, and we’ve actually just starting another worm bin in our backyard to compost our 3 dogs…um…waste. It’s pretty cool! You can find out more about by visiting the Green Culture website.

Here are a few images from our second Salton Sea trip a couple weeks ago. Our first stop was Bombay Beach, which was flooded back in the early 90’s so there are tons of sunken, decaying motor homes and trailers and telephone poles still sticking out of the water. Our next stop was Niland and Salvation Mountain, which is an amazing, amazing folk art piece constructed by one man, Leonard Knight. Leonard built his mountain out of adobe and thousands of gallons of donated paint over the span of two decades as a monument to God’s Love. It’s really quite breathtaking!

We reached Salvation Mountain right as the sun began to set!

All right, this is going to be a monster post! Chris & Jenny were married last week-my last wedding of 2007! These two couldn’t be more made for each other. After first seeing each other at the alter, they simply couldn’t take their eyes off each other the whole day! They were married at the Light of Christ Church in Irvine and their reception was held at the Balboa Pavilion overlooking the twinkling lights of the harbor. Chris just happens to be my cousin, so it was interesting working in front of my family for the first time, they finally all got to see me in action! What a gorgeous, emotion-filled wedding, and an exiting end to an amazing wedding season! I simply cannot wait for what 2008 has in store!

I just love Grand Exits!

Last Friday I shot an incredible couple with Kristi Klemens! Jackie & Ryan were married at the Newport Beach California Temple in a closed ceremony with family. After family formals, we had several hours for portraits with just the bride and groom before the start of their reception, so it turned into an amazing bride and groom session around Old Town Orange! Here are a few of my favorites…
