Isaac and I love what we do and strive to capture each couple’s relationship, love, and unique personality. Sometimes just the littlest note can be so reaffirming and really make our day.  I recently received the sweetest e-mail from Katie + Jake that I wanted to share! Thank you for your kind words, Katie + Jake - we can’t wait to hang out with you guys again on your wedding day!

“Wow, we are blown away! Not only did we have a great time with you and Isaac, but the pictures look amazing (and yes, I have looked at all of them already)  I have been admiring your work on your blog the last few months, but it is truly exciting seeing ourselves on it.  We are a shy couple but we loved how you captured “us”. We had a blast and love the results! When we began planning the wedding, my mom told us that the only regret she had from her wedding back in ‘71 was that they  were very disappointed with the photographs.  I showed her the pictures and she was so happy.  She said they were romantic and lovely, which is exactly why we loved your work and went with you (not to mention you are a big etsy fan too!) We are even more excited about our wedding now!

While in Oahu shooting Naoko + Taejo’s wedding, we had the opportunity to shoot their friends, Juri + Kei, a super sweet couple from Japan. We had such a blast with them while exploring a banyan forest on the North Shore. We had scouted the area out a few days ahead and fell in love with this one huge banyan tree. Well, when we arrived there the day of the shoot, the set of the tv show Lost had fully moved in on the scene and was filming an episode around the banyan! Luckily, one of my friends from the North Shore knew some of the crew, so we were still able to shoot in the area and around the enormous Lost set! This announcement is a little late, but I wanted to post that we are currently traveling in New Mexico - we just shot our last wedding of the year at the Tamaya Resort this past weekend, and it was so lovely and a nice challenge change to shoot in the cold high desert, with its gorgeous landscapes and stunning sunsets. We’ll be returning to the office on Wednesday, Dec 16th, and I wanted to leave you with this image that Isaac took of today’s sunset just outside of Santa Fe.

Kelly + Peter’s wedding was epic…there is no other word to describe it! The day was absolutely perfect, the couple totally in love, and the reception ended with a rockin’ dance party at one of my favorite venues, the gorgeous Adamson House in Malibu! The day started at the Sheraton Delfina, and they were married at the St. Monica’s Church in Santa Monica. The vibrant bouquets were designed by Peony & Plum and Kelly’s make up was done by the talented Jamie Stevens. The band “The Players” kept the dance floor packed all night long…I mean everyone was dancing! Here are just a few of my favorites….
