I can’t help but smile looking through Jordana + Mike’s wedding. These two are unbelievably in love and such amazing people. We met with them a year and a half before their wedding date, and had been waiting forever to document their wedding day! Their ceremony and reception was held at the lovely Darlington House in La Jolla, and the couple did so many of the design elements themselves, from collecting all the vintage bottles for the table centerpieces to creating the look of amazing dessert display, complete with candy and cannolis and a variety of cakes! Jordana’s dress was one of Monique Lhuillier’s first lace dress designs! Her awesome purple shoes are Steve Maddens. The day could not have been more perfect…good food and good company and lots of dancing! Jordana + Mike started the dancing off with an awesome choreographed salsa dance that they had been working on for months….and they were amazing! Congrats again Jordana + Mike…we love you guys!

Jessica + Andrew are two of the sweetest people you could meet, and their wedding was filled with classic beauty! I loved the clean navy and white palette of their wedding, the lovely purses that Jessica hand made for her bridesmaids, and table number journals for guests to write well wishes to the couple! The day started at the Pasadena Langham…Jessica’s hair and make-up was done by the talented Kelly Zhang. Their ceremony was held at the Holy Family Church in South Pasadena, and they exited the church with all their guests cheering and ringing noise makers! The reception was at the Oakmont Country Club and the night was filled with tons of dancing and ended with an amazing dessert display, with all kinds of delicious pastries and donuts!

I love how creative our couples are! I wanted to share this super cute video Jodi + Kurt sent to all their wedding guests entitled “a slice of invite”…just a little taste of how fun and gorgeous their wedding is going to be! We can’t wait to document their wedding day in Virginia next month…and after seeing this, I’m really craving some apple pie!

Just a few more from Melanie + Justin’s wedding in Lake Chelan, Washington! The day after their wedding, we met back up with them and had so much fun exploring a nearby apple orchard that overlooked the lake. We ended at their family’s lake house, where they spent so many summers together…a perfect ending to a wonderful wedding weekend!

We flew out to Washington to document Melanie + Justin’s amazing destination wedding in Lake Chelan at Amy’s Manor. Lake Chelan is a very special place for these two since Justin’s family has been vacationing there ever since he was a boy, and Melanie and Justin have come to Chelan every year, out of the seven years they’ve been together, to spend time with their family and friends. Naturally, it was the perfect location for their wedding! The area is just gorgeous…full of scenic views of pristine lake and landscape dotted by vineyards and apple and cherry orchards. Their wedding day was such a lovely celebration of their love, complete with lots of wine, dancing, and yummy mini pies! Melanie wore a gorgeous Vera Wang dress and shoes by Stuart Weitzman. Sure to Rise Bakery made all the delicious mini pies of apple, rhubarb, blueberry, and peach! Fleur De Lis provided the floral design and Colleen Simpson coordinated the day’s events.
