Stephanie Williams Photography is a husband + wife photography team inspired by love and life. We're a wedding and portrait photography studio in Southern California, documenting weddings locally and worldwide. We love to travel! My husband Isaac works alongside me at every wedding - and he makes an occassional appearance on the blog as well! We strive to capture the complete story of every wedding we photograph and infuse a bit of fashion - inspired portraiture into our photojournalistic coverage. The Ruche Fall 2010 lookbook vol 1 and 2 are now up on the website! Here are just a few images from each lookbook - we shot all around the Cape Cod area. Lots of lovely coats, hats, scarves, and even a few lighter numbers for those living in Southern California right now (it’s been 90 degrees all week!)
What can I say about this wedding other than it was stunning in every way and an absolute dream to document! Gorgeous scenery, historic homes filled with texture, cape cod, lots of laughter, and one amazing, amazing couple!! Meredith + Chris could not be more perfect for each other! Their wedding was a very unique and personal celebration of their love. Meredith’s family has been vacationing in Westport, Massachusetts for quite some time, and even staying in the amazing Howland House on most of their trips, so this location held a special place in their hearts. They had a Quaker-inspired ceremony at Wesport Friends Meeting House, where instead of a priest or pastor marrying the couple, they said their vows to each other encircled by their friends and family. Several people stood up during the ceremony to say their well wishes to the couple, read poems, and reminisce. The reception overlooked the Atlantic ocean at the Acoaxet Club, and the decor was filled with images of birds and little nests, which fit Meredith and Chris perfectly, since they are both huge nature and animal lovers. Meredith wore the most gorgeous Claire Pettibone dress and cute Paris Hilton shoes! At the reception, she changed into a shorter dress and everyone danced the night away!
When we were in Virginia last week, we had the opportunity to shoot Kristyn + John Paul’s engagement session in the stunning Shenandoah National Park. The Fall colors and afternoon light was just breathtaking! These two are an amazing couple, and we had such a great time with them during the session and after hanging out at The Local in Charlottesville. All I can say is Love is absolutely beautiful!
A few weeks ago, Isaac and I traveled to the Cape Cod area to document Meredith + Chris’ amazing wedding in Westport, Massachusetts! The day before the wedding, we took a few photos of Meredith and Chris around the Howland House, the awesome ancient hotel turned homestead they were staying in with their whole bridal party. We then headed to the rehearsal dinner, which was a customary clam + lobster bake, at Spindle Rock Club! The clambake was thrown by Compton Clambakes, and in the traditional fashion, they steamed clams, lobster, corn and potatoes in stacked boxes with rock weed (a type of sea weed). It was an amazing way to start off the festivities. Here are just a few images from the first day…I’ll be blogging their amazing wedding very very soon!
Faith + Alex are sweet + adorable and have the most infectious smiles! We can’t wait to shoot their wedding next year at one of our favorite spots in San Diego, the Darlington House!
