Angela + David | wedding

Angela + David were married in New Mexico at the Tamaya Resort in Santa Ana Pueblo. David is also a wedding and commercial photographer, and we are always so honored when we are commissioned by fellow photographers! It was an amazing winter wedding, from the stunning desert and forest backdrop to the fragrant gardenia bouquet. It was also our first time shooting in a much colder climate (I’ll admit, I’m a spoiled Southern Californian when it comes to weather), but I absolutely loved the winter light in New Mexico and the pastel colors and cold crisp air! We were so glad that Angela + David were up to exploring the forest adjacent to the resort in near freezing temperatures! They are such a wonderful couple, and we were so honored to document their love for one another and all the joy surrounding their wedding day.

Julie + Patrick | wedding

Julie + Patrick’s gorgeous wedding was held in Joshua Tree, just minutes from Joshua Tree National Park, at the Sacred Sands Bed and Breakfast. Isaac and I instantly fell in love with this unique, cozy, and well-designed bed and breakfast, surrounded by stunning dessert landscape! Julie + Patrick are such an amazing couple, and both so artistic and creative! Many of the designs and wedding theme were created by the couple, and I loved that Patrick actually went rock climbing in Joshua Tree a few hours before the wedding! There were also many eco friendly aspects to their wedding - all the succulents on the tables and even the succulent bouquets were re-plantable, all the food was organic vegetarian cuisine from the couple’s own favorite recipes, and even the Sacred Sands is an environmentally-friendly building (built using strawbale walls as insulation). As wedding favors, everyone received a poster with the couple’s wedding logo + theme from Clone Press, and Julie’s gorgeous dress was by Jim Hjelm. The reception was held outside under a canopy of stars, and they had bunt cakes and biscottis for dessert. All in all, a perfect evening!
