Isaac and I traveled to Sedona, Arizona to document Megan + Chris’s amazing wedding at Tlaquepaque, an artist’s center in the heart of the city. The wedding was lovely, set around the picturesque red rocks and stunning artist center fountains and carvings. It was so nice seeing Ashley + Derek there as well, whose wedding we shot back in April! JB from Sedona Luxury Weddings did an amazing job with coordinating the days events. Their ceremony was held in a gorgeous courtyard at dusk, and the reception was one awesome party! The night ended with Megan + Chris riding off on bikes! All in all, a perfect day! I’ll be blogging their amazing day after session soon as well!

So excited to announce that Jessica + Paul’s destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta is published in the Fall/Winter 2010 issue of Destination I Do Magazine!! This issue hits newsstands on August 31 and is just chock full of lovely eye candy…you won’t want to miss it!

The wedding season is still in full swing around here, and we have been so blessed with shooting + traveling so much recently, but I feel I haven’t had too much time to keep up with blogging! There are so many things I still need to post about and many awesome weddings that I can’t wait to share. This week, my little brother is getting married, and I’m so unbelievably excited for him. Isaac and I are in the bridal party, so it’s going to be very interesting being on the other side. I’m going to try my best not to pick up my camera and start documenting everything! Now onto our post…a while back we did a full day mentor session for Nancy, who was just starting out in her photography business. We focused on developing a shooting style, learning how to nail exposure quickly while working in the field and using/harnessing natural light, and what it takes to start a small business. She’s such a sweet and amazing woman, and we had so much fun that day! Jordana + Mike were our awesome model couple for the afternoon! We love these two and can’t believe their wedding at Darlington House in San Diego is just right around the corner!

The day after Jim + Lina’s wedding, we spent the afternoon with them exploring the Makena coast and laughing and digging our toes in the sand. What an incredible weekend spent in Maui with this lovely couple…..

We flew out to Maui to document Lina + Jim’s amazing wedding! Their ceremony and reception took place at the Sugarman Estate, a gorgeous spot of land right on the water with the most amazing view of the ocean and the coastline along Makena. It was a perfect day, blue skies, sunshine, and gently swaying palm fronds…such a magical location for a wedding!  The day went off without a hitch with coordination by Evonne Wong from Events by Evonne. Lina’s awesome shoes are Badgley Mischka and her dress is Pronovias. Lina’s make-up was done by Jessica and hair by Dan Sanchez, flowers by Bella Bloom, the lovely cake was by Maui Wedding Cakes - I love their cute hand painted cake toppers.
