For Jessica + Paul’s day after session, we traveled a bit North to the quaint surfing town of Sayulita, Mexico. It ended up being super hot that day, so we started off in the shelter of Hotel Hafa, a super cute boutique hotel, and then took our time exploring the little town. The shoot was complete with a reading from two “psychic” birds called “luz” and “sol”, who pulled a little card out of a stack with your fortune, and with a fresh pineapple mai tai! All in all, a perfect way to end our day!

So, to start the new year off right, I’ve decided to catch up on all the blog posting…or at least attempt to. I have a few more lovely weddings to post from November + December coming soon! Now on to Erica + Abrahm’s  engagement session! Erica + Abe are the bee’s knees, and we cannot wait to shoot their wedding next month in San Miguel De Allende, Mexico. It’s is going to be amazing! Oh, and Erica creates really chic adornments for boots…check out her website and blog at The 2 Bandits.

Naoko + Taejo are absolutely amazing, stylish and so creative - they brought all kinds of fun props for their engagement session! Isaac and I are documenting their wedding next month in Hawaii, and we can’t wait - it’s going to be nothing short of amazing!

MarieSam + Tommy’s wedding was amazing! The setting was breathtaking! Akumal is probably one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen - warm blue/green, water, a small town, and wildlife galore - Isaac and I were in photography heaven! The best thing of all was that MarieSam + Tommy and their family are the nicest people ever, and made us feel as if we were a part of the family. They had a Mayan ceremony, which was full of love and warmth, lots of laughing and tears, and bits of flower petals and water thrown at the MarieSam + Tommy! Their reception was held at the Centro Ecological Akumal and the delicious food and coordinating was done by Jen at the Turtle Bay Cafe.
I’ll post more of their day after session in a bit, but here’s just a little teaser for now..

Their daughter sang a special song for them at the reception, and received a standing ovation!

I wanted to share just a few personal images from our trip to New York + Seattle…This was the first time I’ve been out to the New York/New Jersey area, and it was amazing and overwhelming - seriously too much to see and do. I definitely need to make another, much longer trip out there to explore the area more. We had some great adventures though, most notably while trying to get the hang of the New York subway and train systems! It was raining most of the time we were in New York, but I loved the feel of it and it made Central Park so very green and fresh. I feel like we’ve been going non stop since our trip out there, and I have so many amazing sessions to blog this week! I also just finished up a shoot for a feature for Utterly Engaged, the new online magazine for brides launching this month, and for Ruche’s new Summer Lookbook!! I can’t wait to share those images on the blog!
