Love is Simply Beautiful!

Kelly + Peter’s wedding was epic…there is no other word to describe it! The day was absolutely perfect, the couple totally in love, and the reception ended with a rockin’ dance party at one of my favorite venues, the gorgeous Adamson House in Malibu! The day started at the Sheraton Delfina, and they were married at the St. Monica’s Church in Santa Monica. The vibrant bouquets were designed by Peony & Plum and Kelly’s make up was done by the talented Jamie Stevens. The band “The Players” kept the dance floor packed all night long…I mean everyone was dancing! Here are just a few of my favorites….

A few weeks ago, Isaac and I taught a half day one on one mentor session with Kirstin of Beaux Arts Photographie. We went over tons of questions about shooting and processing with digital photography, since Kirstin learned with film, and working with natural light and off camera flash. Special thanks to Brooke + David for coming out to be our demo couple for this session! Brooke is a super awesome and crafty - you can check out her creations on her Etsy shops Whisper Handmade and Meef Wobble Also, I want to thank Kirstin for taking some shots of Isaac and I shooting - we don’t really have that many shots of us in action…

Kristin + John are an amazing couple! Not only are they madly in love, but in true DIY style, they also coordinated and decorated their whole wedding! The day before the wedding they did all the flowers and reception decor themselves, along with a bit of help from some friends and family. I love Kristin’s delicate bouquet of sweet smelling gardenias, her custom Monique Lluillier gown, and her pink Christian Louboutin shoes! Their reception was held at the awesome + chic SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. Instead of a guest signing book, they had friends and family sign their names with a thumb print onto a tree. One of my favorite displays though was the dessert station, which was filled with the cutest cake, a variety of flavored Japanese mochi, pocky sticks, and little cakes.
