Kristin + John are an amazing couple! Not only are they madly in love, but in true DIY style, they also coordinated and decorated their whole wedding! The day before the wedding they did all the flowers and reception decor themselves, along with a bit of help from some friends and family. I love Kristin’s delicate bouquet of sweet smelling gardenias, her custom Monique Lluillier gown, and her pink Christian Louboutin shoes! Their reception was held at the awesome + chic SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. Instead of a guest signing book, they had friends and family sign their names with a thumb print onto a tree. One of my favorite displays though was the dessert station, which was filled with the cutest cake, a variety of flavored Japanese mochi, pocky sticks, and little cakes.

Last week, Meg drove down from Santa Barbara for a one on one mentor session with me. Meg is super talented and super sweet, and has such a passion for maternity and child portraiture! It was such a pleasure chatting with her about photoshop processing and retouching, creative marketing, branding, and client experience. I know she is going to go far, and I can’t wait to see what wonderful work she comes out with next. She just launched her new site and blog, check out her website at  Meg Fish Photography.

While walking about in San Francisco, we explored the Anthropologie up there, and I fell in love with their wall display of vintage bottles and raw cotton! I think it would make such a dreamy, rustic addition to wedding decor, or a very unique alternative to an all flower arrangement!

Last week, Isaac and I shot the summer lookbook for Ruche a modern boutique with a vintage touch!. Mai adds new clothes to her site all the time, and you can find out what’s new on the Ruche Blog. We had an awesome team of models and stylists. Devon Duff did a stunning job with the make-up and Robin Lamph made sure the girl’s hair looked amazing (Devon and Robin do wedding day hair and make-up and make an awesome team!)
