Utterly Engaged | featured

This post has been a long time coming, but I’m so excited to announce that a brand new, awesome online resource for brides just launched this week!! Utterly Engaged is an online wedding magazine dedicated to the couple that wants to infuse style and creativity into their wedding with every kind of budget! They showcase vendors and fill their pages with pictures, details, tips, and lots of inspiration. A few months ago, I shot a tablescape for the magazine, and you can see that article, titled Midsummer Night’s Dream, on their first issue by clicking the image below… it features florals by Summer from Grey Likes Weddings and cakes from Cheryl Stewartutterly1
Here’s a few more images from the shoot…I heart owls + blue thistles

I’m looking forward to the next issue, which will be even more jam packed and feature a shoot I did alongside JL Floral Design and Sweet and Saucy!! I can’t post the images from that shoot until the article comes out, but I will leave you with this teaser that I posted a bit ago…

Kristin + John | engagement

Kristin + John are such an amazing couple, and we had such a blast shooting their engagement session! When Kristin asked if I’d be up to shooting on a boat, I replied with an ecstatic “yes!” I love when couples get creative with their engagement session. We only had about 20 minutes on the boat before the lake closed, but it was well worth it! And their little dog Piper is too adorable! Here are just a few of my many favorites from their session…

Bridal Fashion | vintage + rustic

There will be several of these posts I think, since I have so many gorgeous photos to share! This shoot was to showcase a few new designs from Amy Jo Tatum Bridal. What is so awesome about her work, is that she tries to use eco-friendly fabrics to construct her dresses. One of my favorites was made using a fine organic muslin - so simple, elegant, and summery. We’ll call this post part 1…

Bouquets:  JL Floral Designs
Dresses: Amy Jo Tatum Bridal
Hair pieces + veils: Batcakes Couture
Make-up: Teena Hoffstetter

Vintage Inspiration

So, whilst I catch up on my blogging…I’m going to give some shout outs to artists on Esty who inspire and make wonderfully creative things for weddings. I’m personally obsessed with Esty and with handmade goods in general, and I’ve come across some amazing items I hope to showcase on my blog regularly. Here are some romantic vintage inspirations… 1. Batcakes Couture (I’m personally obsessed with birdcage veils)

2. vintage wrap by Bonzie -  their etsy shop

3. beautiful embellishment by Bonzie

Dani & Mark’s amazing wedding is next!
